DT is excited to launch a new countering violent extremism (CVE) pilot project in Syria. Funded by Adam Smith International on behalf of the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO), the project will identify and address the drivers of radicalization in select locations in northern Syria. DT’s Radicalization Assessment Framework™ (RAF) is a CVE methodology that uses local perception data to inform CVE analysis and guide program design, implementation, and assessment in conflict-affected areas. During the six-month pilot, DT will isolate the systemic causes of radicalization in two vulnerable communities and support small grant activities aimed at reducing violent extremism in those locations. The RAF CVE pilot will demonstrate tangible program outcomes using clear metrics that can be used to inform FCO’s future programming.
